Argot 2014 SoCo 'Bastard Tongue' Pinot Noir
96 Robert Parker
The 2012 Bastard Tongue Pinot was #2 on Wine Spectators Top 100 Pinot Noirs and the 2014 is sure to impress! Fruit is sourced from several vineyards on the Sonoma Coast...including Pahlmeyer's Wayfarer vineyard.
"The 2014 Pinot Noir Bastard Tongue, from a blend of Swan, Pommard and Dijon 115 clones, which was aged 22 months in 85% new French oak. Dark raspberry, strawberry and cherry notes give the wine a dark-red-fruit character, but there are also loamy soil undertones, underbrush, spice box and a rich, medium to full-bodied, fleshy mouthfeel. This is a complex Pinot Noir to drink now and over the next decade." Robert Parker
